Animation is seen everywhere especially in North American culture. Used mainly in motion pictures or video games, animation is a widely know art viewed on a daily basis by many. The word animation quickly makes me think of my favorite show: Spongebob Squarepants (yes I am still part child).
Animation can be as simple as a moving image (above) in a repetitive manor to a more extravagant form such as a major motion picture. Examples of animation taken to the fullest form would be films such as Avatar and The Avengers.
There are many different types of animation and I shall list a few:
- Traditional
- Stop Motion
- Computer Animation
- 2-D Animation
- 3-D Animation
- Sand Animation
Animation has come a long way and I am sure that there will be many more improvements. It is amazing how accurate and human-like graphics in video games and animation movies are. I am a huge fan of animation shows and/or movies and have left you all with a link to a list of over a hundred of the most popular animation movies!! Enjoy and maybe watch a few over the break.
