Calm asa coma
Calm Asa Coma is a rock band native of Calgary Alberta. There first album was released in 2009, later leading the band to be chosen by local radio station, X92.9 FM, to be the 2010 Exposure winners.This win gave calm asa coma the opportunity to open for bands such as the Arkells, Mother Mother, and Lights. I came across this band when I went to U-fest (which i'm confident most MRU students have knowledge of the festival). It wasn't my intention to buy 2 of there CD's but thanks to their very convincing merchandiser I fell into the pressure placed upon me and bought them. The 10 dollars I spent on their older CD as well as their new one titled 'In English' was most defiantly money well spent. If your into underground, or indie-rock type music I would most definitely recommend this album and band.

Glad to hear you discovered a local band. There are tons of bands out there that are amazing, but lack exposure. If X92.9 didn't provide their exposure contest, many local bands would never get a chance to get their music out to any consumers at all. That's great that you are supporting local music, and I wish all the best to Calm asa Coma as they try to make it big.
