I have always had a passion for photography. Growing up, I always would take my parents camera and take pictures of anything I found interesting, even if the quality of the pictures was not that great. About three years ago, I finally saved up enough money to buy myself a Canon Rebel T1i SLR camera. The first image I ever took with that camera was that of an apple sitting on my counter, and the quality of this image amazed me. Soon enough, I took my camera to every event I went.
After three years of using just a basic 18-55mm lens, I finally bought myself a 70-300mm zoom lens about a month ago. I have not had the opportunity to go out and try out my new lens very much, but with the few images I have captured with this lens, I can safely say that I am really happy with my purchase. I prefer taking landscape and nature picture, as opposed to portraits. Hopefully in a few years time, I'll be able to buy myself a macro lens, which would allow me to take extreme close up pictures, such as a lady bug crawling on a leaf, or a spider weaving its web. I also hope to begin taking photography courses, which will allow me to learn a bunch of new techniques and capture even better images.
